I don't need to be in a relationship to be happy,
but if I'm being honest for a minute;
it feels a hell of a lot better to have your open wounds
kissed by someone who doesn't treat the things wrong with you
as if they are disasters to be avoided.
My needful things are not to be dismissed.
And besides,
someone needs to hold my purse as I put out my fires.
